A blog devoted to the cards I make in my tiny upstairs space. When my sister stays there, she calls it an "artist's garret". I'm not an artist, but am an enthusiastic cardmaker - hence the title "Cardmaker's Garret".

Floral Twofer

Most of you know that making Christmas cards throughout the year is my main focus but today I've got a floral twofer, both very CAS, one watercoloured, one coloured with coloured pencils - I love both colouring mediums so like to vary what I use.

This is the watercoloured one, inspired by this image at the Inspired By challenge:

The shape of the bouquets made me think of a "never before used" stamp I have, and I tried to get close to some of the colours in the Inspired By image.  The sentiment is part of the flower stamp so that made it even faster to make this card.  I added a bit of splatter for interest.

The second card is inspired by the colours in the Four Seasons challenge mood board and the Color Throwdown challenge.

This one uses coloured pencils, blended with Gamsol, trimmed with a stitched rectange die, with a blue heat embossed sentiment and a blue border.
