I chose a dove in flight, with muted masculine colours.
I stamped the dove with Versamark on navy cs, then added Heat and Stick powder so that I could add Pearl Ex - white on the dove, green on the leaf. The sentiment is heat embossed in silver. I bordered with green shimmer cs, and mounted on a white card base.
While I had everything out, I made a second one - this time a square card with the image trimmed tighter.
I'd love to know which one you like best.
Beautiful Susan, I love the effect of the heat and stick and the pearl ex. I must try this again :)
ReplyDeleteI've never used this technique but will have to try it. What a gorgeous dove! Love the idea of this challenge too since must of us have difficulty with a masculine card. I'd say you nailed it. Love the texture and love that you selectively colored it.
ReplyDeleteI love them both, but maybe the square design because of the balance. Wonderful guy card, but would be beautiful for anyone. TFS Susan. Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Susan. I need to play more with pearl-ex with it's amazing sheen. Love the colour combo! xx
ReplyDeleteAwesome use of Pearl-ex, Susan! The white dove and green branch are beautiful on the navy background!
ReplyDeleteWonderful muted masculine colours and such a beatitude card and love how you interpreted the theme x.
