Here's my Twofer, one for a birthday and one for Christmas:
I took a piece of Distress Oxide background out of my UFO box, and used my small star background die to cut the stars out of it (the die is that exact size so great for CAS cards). I layered it over a piece of glittery gold cs.
I stamped and heat embossed a gold sentiment on white cs and then die cut part of a larger winter village die out of it. Layered that over the starry sky and popped it up on fun foam.
And here's card number two:
For this one, I used the stars that got cut out of the Distress Oxide piece on the first card.
I stamped and heat embossed an old star stamp and a birthday sentiment, and then trimmed it with a wonky stitched die. I glued the leftover stars around it, and popped it up on fun foam on a coloured card base.
Love not having all those pretty blue stars go to waste!!
Those shimmery gold stars make for such a magical Christmas scene, Susan ... and what great use of the blue 'left over' stars to highlight the soft, text-y spotlight star on your birthday card! They're both deliciously clean and fresh! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteGreat to get the two very different cards from the same die cut. The background on your first card looks amazing and love the bling from the gold stars and the crisp white from the die cut little scene. The birthday card looks so classy and the coloured card stock looks great with those cute die cut stars and the wonderland large text heart x Fabulous cards Susan....both of them x.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful designs, Susan! I love the bluesy background, stars, and card base that you've used creating the two! The schparkly gold looks sensational peeking out of your night sky overlooking the pretty white village! And the star die cuts work fabulously well on your birthday card with the wonky stitching and large focal text star! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #13! Hugs, Darnell
