A blog devoted to the cards I make in my tiny upstairs space. When my sister stays there, she calls it an "artist's garret". I'm not an artist, but am an enthusiastic cardmaker - hence the title "Cardmaker's Garret".

Two More Colour Challenge Cards

Lots of the January challenges have really appealed to me.  I've got two cards today for colour challenges.

Color Hues wants silver and white.

A very quick card with silver heat embossing for the trees and sentiment on the focal panel that is layered on a dry embossed background.

Here's another photo where the dry embossing and the image are sharper but the silver doesn't show up as much (silver is so darn hard to photograph):

My second card is for the Color Throwdown "Red, Cream, and Gold".

Another very quick CAS card.  Stamped and heat embossed in gold on cream cs, with the ribbon coloured with a red marker and the bells coloured with a gold metallic pen.  Trimmed with a stitched rectangle die, bordered in red, and popped up on a cream card base.

  7. I love both your CASlicious designs, Susan! Your very pretty first card showcases the first stamp I ever bought (and still love) and the shine and texture are awesome. Even so, that beribboned puppy stamp steals the show! Love it in cream and red! Thank you for playing with the Krafty Chicks! Hugs, Darnell (GD)
