ABC Christmas Challenge is asking for "T for Traditional Colours".
I traced around a circle die to create a circle shape on my cs, then stamped with the little greenery and berry peg stamps that I've had for years until happy with the result. I stamped the sentiment in the centre, die cut with one of the SSS thin circle frame dies, then die cut with red cs with the same circle frame die to get the very thin red circle to frame my image, then added both to a square card base.My other card for today is for Stamping Sensations "Animals".
I created a galaxy background by smooshing with various oxide inks, spritzing with Perfect Pearls spray, and then covering the colours in a rough random fashion with Black Soot ink. When dry, I put it in my MISTI, made sure to go over it well with my embossing buddy, and stamped the reindeer image on top with white pigment ink. I added white embossing powder and heated it. Trimmed the panel and popped it up on fun foam on an off white card base.

Two beautiful festive cards. The delicate wreath is perfectly stamped, the majestic stag looks great embossed in white against the fabulous night sky background. Thank you for joining in at Stamping Sensations.

Your wreath in the circle is so pretty Susan. And the galaxy sky is really beautiful behind that reindeer. Two great cards! xx
ReplyDeleteI just adore that pretty wreath susan with such delicate foliage and in some great shades of green with the added red berries, and I love the complementary circular red frame and added sentiment. The galaxy sky really makes a great contrasting background to the white embossed stag. I actually have that but haven't used it for ages, so you have encouraged me to get it out again this year. x
ReplyDeletethe wreath is so pretty, I might have to try that technique with you. The reindeer is beautiful against the galaxy sky ♥
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards!
