A thank you card for a friend who loves blue.
I started by inking up a leafy background stamp in a very pale blue ink, randomly wiping off some of the ink so it didn't evenly cover the cs, stamping a sentiment in a darker shade of blue ink, and then arranging three die cut wildflowers (cut out of three different shades of blue cs) on top.
That panel is popped up on fun foam on an embossed background.
Since it's all shades of blue, I'm taking it over to The Flower Challenge "Monochrome".
I love that soft background, Susan! It's a perfect place to put the pretty blue flowers!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and delicate effect on the background and the shades of blues from the die cut flowers looks fabulous on it x.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Susan. I love the softly stamped background ... just perfect to show off you beautiful die-cut flowers. xx
ReplyDeleteThe muted blue shades of the flowers are so pretty, Susan! I love the leafy background. The subtle soft pattern is perfect for the solid color silhouette. Hideko xx

ReplyDeleteHow beautiful, Susan! I have these dies and never used them so I appreciate the inspiration! They are perfect for your subtle background. I love how it does not overwhelm the card but compliments the die cuts so perfectly.
