A blog devoted to the cards I make in my tiny upstairs space. When my sister stays there, she calls it an "artist's garret". I'm not an artist, but am an enthusiastic cardmaker - hence the title "Cardmaker's Garret".

Gold Poinsettia

A card for three challenges:

The poinsettia is stamped and heat embossed in gold on gold vellum, and fussy cut twice, using a smaller section of it for the top layer.

I embossed a Spellbinders Decorative Elements frame die onto a square of white shimmer cs. I taped the poinsettia in the centre of it, using little bits of foam tape to pop up sections for dimension.

For the card base, I used a gold shimmer cs that matches the gold vellum. And embellished with little gold shimmer stickers in the centre of the poinsettia.
