I went with a peace dove theme as I need a few more Christmas cards.
In the interests of not wasting good cardstock, I had cut the white dove for the above card out of a piece of white cs that was ready to be a card base. I could then turn the negative die cut into this card:
I put silver cs behind it, stamped a sentiment in silver, and embellished with a few tiny silver stars.
I'm also adding the blue card to the Jingle Belles challenge (your last minute cards) and the Christmas Card Throwdown (choose a challenge from 2012 or 2013 - I chose October 2012 "Use Die Cuts").
Great use of the negative die cut and both cards are perfectly CAS. Merry Christmas to you and your family x

ReplyDeleteSusan, I love the simplicity of these. The contrast on the blue one is fabulous and love the added stars on the silver one. If anyone does a challenge for the most Christmas cards made in a given year, You'd win hands down!

ReplyDeleteAn excellent use of the die cut and the 'waste', it looks great with the silver behind. Another idea to store away. Thanks for playing along at Christmas Card Throwdown.
