A blog devoted to the cards I make in my tiny upstairs space. When my sister stays there, she calls it an "artist's garret". I'm not an artist, but am an enthusiastic cardmaker - hence the title "Cardmaker's Garret".

White on White Star and a Sledding Bunny

AAA Cards wants a CAS card featuring something that starts with "S".  My card features a star, score lines, silver thread, a sentiment "star light, star bright", and silver ink.  It's also for Sparkles Christmas Challenge that wants a CAS card.

I stamped the sentiment in silver and scored some lines on the card base.  Then die cut a star and several branches of greenery out of white cs, then arranged them with some thin silver thread onto the card.

For 52 Christmas Card Throwdown's colour challenge "Red, Green, Brown", I have a brown bunny, sledding on a green leaf, with a red card base.

Stamped and coloured with coloured pencils, added to a red card base and embellished with some die cut snowflakes.

  3. Two wonderful Christmas cards Susan. Your star card is so pretty with the white-on-white and silver accents. Love the threads that remind me of the trails stars leave on their journey across the sky. The scoring is a fantastic detail. Adorable second card with that sweek bunny sledding down the snowhill. Love the die-cut stars at the top. Amazing work, my friend! xx

  8. This star and foliage is so pretty and really elegant in white on white Susan, and the lovely added words in silver go beautifully, and love the bit of thread added in amongst the foliage and the scored lines behind the star..great design ideas. The bunny is so cute on the second card and beautifully watercoloured, and the scattering of white die cut snowflakes stand out so well on th edge of the topper and over the lovely red card base. x
