A blog devoted to the cards I make in my tiny upstairs space. When my sister stays there, she calls it an "artist's garret". I'm not an artist, but am an enthusiastic cardmaker - hence the title "Cardmaker's Garret".

Barn and Blue Jays

I didn't think I'd be able to do this week's Merry Monday challenge as I couldn't recall having any stamps of barns, and then suddenly remembered a really really old stamp I've had forever that has a barn in the background.

I stamped it and coloured it with coloured pencils, added a sentiment above it, trimmed it down and matted with red, and popped it up on fun foam on a dark green card base.

Then I took my Quickie glue pen and went over all the snowy bits and added glitter.  In real life, there is a lot of sparkle.  Here's a close-up that shows the barn and hopefully some of the sparkle:

I'm saving it for my sister who used to live on a farm.

Supplies:
Stamps - Northwoods image, Make an Impression sentiment
Ink - Versafine Onyx Black
Paper - white, red, and dark green cs
Size - A2
Accessories - coloured pencils, glitter, fun foam
