I don't own any penguin stamps or dies, so was glad to have received the two cute penguin die cuts I was able to use on this card:
I had a perfect background I'd made by smooshing Oxide inks on mixed media cs - it looked very frosty and chilly, just like a penguin's environment. I kept the penguins white as I was worried I'd ruin them if I tried to colour them. So in keeping with that, I added a white Christmas tree and snowflakes. A few gold stars decorate the tree and a small unobtrusive sentiment finishes it off.
Beautiful background for your sweet penguins Susan. Aren't crafting friends the best??!! xx
ReplyDeleteSusan such as great background for your penguins :)
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful smooshed background was perfect for your white penquins, Susan. Your friend that gifted you your penquins will be pleased. TFS my friend. Hugs..
ReplyDeleteThe background grabbed my attention instantly! Superb job smooshing, Susan! The penguins look so cool left white. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful background, Susan! It's perfect for the die cut penguins and tree! I love how crisp the blue and white is and the gold stars add just enough contrast!
ReplyDeleteFabulous winter background, Susan! And love those dies! You combined them beautifully. I've never seen these penguin dies but love them. Your gold stars are the perfect accent on this.
