The April challenge at
Christmas Cards All Year Round is to use all white.
And
SCS's Inspiration Challenge sent us to the
Carlyle Avenue website. I found these white trees for inspiration:
I had the perfect set of evergreen tree dies in various sizes to use to create this card:
I die cut 5 trees, stacking some of them 3 layers high and some just 2
layers. I added them to a dry embossed background with a small
sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps - Penny Black sentiment
Ink - Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke
Paper - white cs
Size - A2
Accessories - Memory Box Evergreen Trees dies, SU embossing folder
I love white on white with lots of dimension and texture. This fits the bill perfectly, Susan!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Susan. Love the white on white design. The snow adds lots of dimension in the background. Great idea to stack the trees in different amounts. xx
ReplyDeleteI love this, Susan! This is another one I'd like to try since I have never successfully done an all white card. I love how you stacked some trees more than others giving the illusion of distance. This is beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteso pretty with the white on white. Great idea to layer the trees at different thicknesses. Love the card :)
ReplyDeleteLove white on white cards. This is just gorgeous and elegant. Great idea to vary the height of your stacked diecut trees. Gotta put that in my repertoire. xx

ReplyDeleteI love this white on white evergreen tree card, Susan! It looks so elegant. The die-cut tees (with different number of layers) and the dry embossed snowfall add great texture and dimension to the white background. Hideko xx
ReplyDeleteWhite on white always makes very elegant Christmas cards, I think :-) and yours is no exception. Beautiful!
