Pink and Red Tulips

I came across a challenge I hadn't seen before - the Color Throwdown.

I need to build up my stash of thank you cards so thought I'd use these colours for a spring thank you.

I stamped on watercolour paper with archival ink, then watercoloured with my Inktense watercolour pencils - pink and red tulips with a grey background.

I popped it up on fun foam and added it to an embossed panel.

Now back to watching some more Winter Olympics!!

Stamps - Stamplorations Framed Tulips, Savvy Stamps sentiment
Ink - Archival Jet Black
Paper - white cs, watercolour paper
Size - A2
Accessories - SU embossing folding, Inktense watercolour pencils, fun foam

  1. Love this image... Those flowers are sweet with the script behind them! So happy you joined us at CTD!

  2. I love the way you painted this, Susan, so striking. The pale gray in the background is perfect too. I never have the nerve to water color my backgrounds but love the way it looks. Beautiful!

  3. What a wonderful job you have done with the watercolor pencils, Susan! Love these tulips!

  4. So pretty, beautifully watercoloured and love the black frame it really makes the tulips pop.

  5. This is my favorite tulip stamp. I love your red and pink watercolored flowers and dry embossed frame. TFS my friend. Enjoy the cool that they have a top dog showing competition for you and your doggie friends to enjoy. Have fun..Hugs

  6. Ooohhh...that is SO PRETTY! ♥

  7. Beautiful watercolouring with pencils Susan. Your tulips are so pretty and remind us that spring will soon be here. xx
