I was not that happy with the card as it is in my old style of card making. I'm no longer enjoying using my stash of dp - much prefer to make my own backgrounds. So I decided to do another bird card using a piece of Inka Gold background that was sitting on my desk.
I like to use a simple black heat embossed silhouette image on this kind of background, and then border with black cs.
Because the Inka Gold leaves a bit of texture on the background, it's best to stamp with the MISTI to be sure to get a good impression.
Thanks, Merry Monday people, for a challenge using one of my favourite themes for Christmas cards!
Beautiful background, Susan, that ink of gold is so vibrant and lovey for your bird backdrop! Thank you for sharing t Merry Monday!

ReplyDeleteLOVE that inka gold background Susan. Just perfect to show off the silhouette of your lovely bird image. xx
ReplyDeleteYour Inka Gold background is prettier than any DSP you may have chosen. I can just imagine how gorgeous the shine must be. I love your elegant bird image too. TFS Susan. Hugs, nancy
ReplyDeleteLove this card. I am not sure what Inka Gold is, but I am going shopping for it :)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful background and I love this simple bird! I agree about the paper. I gave most of mine away to Jack's preschool. I think the kids had way more fun with it than I would have. Thanks for sharing with us again at Merry Monday!
