A blog devoted to the cards I make in my tiny upstairs space. When my sister stays there, she calls it an "artist's garret". I'm not an artist, but am an enthusiastic cardmaker - hence the title "Cardmaker's Garret".

Framed May Flowers

Today's Ways to Use It challenge over at SCS is "May Flowers" (with the condition that we not use patterned paper on the background of the card).

I kept mine very simple:

I stamped my image on watercolour paper and painted with Gansai Tambi paints. Added a sentiment and bordered it with a die cut frame. I cut the frame twice and glued them together to give it more substance.

I thought of adding some sequins or glitter, but decided I liked the clean look of it unembellished.

Thanks for dropping by.

Stamps: Penny Black Demure, Judith sentiment
Paper: PTI cream cs, watercolour paper
Paper Size: A2
Ink: Ranger Archival Jet Black
Accessories: Gansai Tambi watercolor paints, MFT pierced rectangle frame die
