A blog devoted to the cards I make in my tiny upstairs space. When my sister stays there, she calls it an "artist's garret". I'm not an artist, but am an enthusiastic cardmaker - hence the title "Cardmaker's Garret".

Robin and Tea

A couple of quick CAS cards today.

For Shopping Our Stash "Up, Up, and Away" (something you'd see in the sky) and Can You Handle the Pressure (anything goes as long as there's an embossing folder).

The robin is stamped, watercoloured, and fussy cut. Then set inside the little joy frame die, and added to an embossed holly background.

For the Double D challenge "Tea or Coffee".   Tea is my beverage of choice. My best friend and I get together for tea a lot. So I'll send this to her as a little hello.

Very CAS - stamped, heat embossed in copper, bordered with copper shimmer cs, and popped up on fun foam.

  1. Susan, that little Robin is so sweet in the joy frame and makes a pretty Christmas card with the embossed background. I love your tea card, too, with a vintage feel to it. Thanks for sharing it with us at Double D!

  2. The sweetest little robin, the Robin is our state bird, they usually head south for the winter but this year some stayed back, since they eat worms I wondered all winter what they were eating!
Thank you for joining our challenge at Can You Handle The Pressure!

  3. Two great cards, I love the little Robin card and your embossed background.

I'm not sure what's happening but your blog is defaulting to annonymous for me and then I forget to change it.
