It seemed the perfect opportunity to use a stamp I bought a few years ago. So good to get it inked up!
It's stamped and watercoloured with my favourite watercolours - my Gansai Tambi set. I die cut it with a stitched square die and was going to just pop it up on fun foam on the card base but it looked too plain, so I added a dry embossed background for texture and interest.
You have until March 24th to enter a card at CAS Watercolour. It needs to be clean and simple, and follow the theme of "Garden" - not just a single flower but something that represents a garden more than that.
Beautifully colored garden and the perfect stamped image for this months CAS Watercolour Challenge! Such a wonderful sentiment on the stamped image. Love how you added the texture with your dry embossed border too. TFS Susan. We are already doing a lot of Spring clean up with lots of flowers starting to bloom and plants and trees leafing out. I am sure your gorgeous gardens are doing the same:-) Hugs....
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely GORGEOUS Susan and water coloured just beautifully!! Love the sentiment around the image and the dry embossing behind it too! This card totally makes me smile and think that Spring might actually come after all! (Still Winter here in Michigan...sunny today but only in the low 30"s). Have a wonderful weekend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful image of an English garden ... or maybe Italy or France. It's so pretty with the lush garden and vintage house, Susan. How lovely it would be to spend time in that garden!! Beautiful sentiment too. Great design with your added texture from the dry embossed layer. xx
