Squirt glue out onto a piece of wax paper, and then pick it up with a sponge or a piece of Tim Holtz Cut-n-dry foam and dab over the stencil. Don't add too thick a coat of glue. If the glue is thick, you need to wait for it to dry until it is just tacky, not wet. Then add the gilding flakes. Make sure to wash the stencil right away after removing it from your card stock. The alcohol inks on the acetate are so vibrant too.
